Leon Gomez was born in Manizales, Colombia on October 4th, 1988. He is an extrovert cook, music lover and soccer fanatic that fell in love with food while in London, making a living working as a food runner and expeditor at @chutneymarylondon, where he witnessed the atmosphere of the kitchen and got captivated by the smells
and different flavors.

In 2013 he graduated from Mausi Sebess Culinary Institute ( Buenos Aires, Argentina ), and got selected for an internship at the former Sofitel Airport Hotel, now Pullman Hotel. Coming to Miami was a life-changing experience for Leon, as he had the opportunity to work at the best restaurants in the city, such as Toscana Divino in Mary Brickell Village, Coya Miami, and Marion.

He also worked for Brava inside the Arsht Center of Performing Arts for three years under Brad Kilgore’s mentorship, and additionally worked for him at Alter and Kaido.

It was back in 2019 when he decided to turn his career around, by creating his own catering company and working now as a private chef. Although starting from scratch wasn’t easy, he has made his own way through this new business area. Chef Leon LLC is now a growing company which employs more people and has new loyal clients every year. It is dedicated to bring immersive culinary experiences to the guests, by taking care of every single detail from the menu creation to the plating and the cleaning once the service has finished. Leon is very confident and proud to say that his team does nothing but the best to make his clients happy and ensure an unforgettable encounter.

My culinary journey started back in 2008 when I moved to London to learn English and needed a job to pay for my living. I started working as a Food Runner and Expo at the highly acclaimed Chutney Mary Indian Restaurant. While there, I decided to quit Biomedical Engineering
